Family
& Friends: Juergen's Surprise 70th Birthday Party
Given that we did not know for quite some time whether or not we would even be home for Juergen's big day, we had a wonderful time, celebrating - albeit in a very small group of family and friends - Juergen's 70th birthday. He had no idea, thought we would go out for dinner - just the two of us. And he almost got annoyed when, at the reception desk, the lady left us waiting as "she needed to check which room we could be seated in" - while, in reality, she was alerting our guests of our arrival. They all stood there, cameras directed at us, as we walked into the Library at The Castle, in Tarrytown.
Of course, I could not bring a camera, so Ruben took a bunch of pictures - and burnt a CD for me. Here are his photos.
