& Friends: Family Reunion in Maine
We celebrated our 130th birthdays last year, but never really celebrated with our family, just had relatively quiet birthdays on the respective dates (except we celebrated Juergen's 70th a little more appropriately). Still, we wanted to arrange for a family reunion and used this particular event as our excuse to invite everyone near and far who ever had the time, the inclination to join us, and most of them actually came. We are proud of this fact and happy that everyone seemed to think that it was worth their valuable vacation time.
We also hired a band and invited a few close friends to joins us on a Saturday night for dinner, dancing, singing (only Paul, an accomplished Jazz musician) and Johanna, daughter of Susanne, who performed a very cute rap "on us". A few speeches were given - not too many, not too long, still very much appreciated. We thank all of them for their terrific contributions to a perfect evening.
Here are some of the many pictures taken. This time, the images are from all sorts of family photographers. Rather than attributing each and every image to the respective person, I am mentioning here that the images came from Silvi, Christine, Ruben and myself. I hope you will all enjoy them and indirectly feel as if you had been there with us.
Unfortunately, the sequence of the images is a little mixed up. I hope you can forgive me, but it would take an enormous amount of time to sort them properly, due to the various authors, and I just do not have the time to do this..
