Family
& Friends: Omi's 100th Birthday
Well, you can imagine that it was quite an event to celebrate Juergen's mom's 100th birthday. A lot of family members came, all those that could manage timewise. Some could not, e.g., our niece Stefie (and family) because she had just given birth to a very cute little boy, Christopher, on November 25, 2006. The family was, however, well represented by 5 year old Sofia - see picture below.
Many of our German nieces and nephews could not come. They each have their own businesses. It is difficult if not impossible to leave at this particular time of year. And there was school for Johanna as well. We will catch up celebrating another time, during the summer when they can take their normal summer vacation.
As you see, there were still a lot of family and friends, and we think that all had a wonderful time. Even Omi enjoyed the attention and got a good night's rest thereafter.

Of course, there were lots more people and pictures taken, but we only want to give you a glimpse into Juergen's mom's 100th birthday party.
